Dr. Virginia Jefferson, currently a resident of Indianapolis, IN, born and raised in Long Branch, New Jersey, is known for her unique style of classical and jazz playing. Dr Jefferson is a graduate of Julliard School of Music, where she earned her degree in Music Education.

In 1994, Dr Jefferson relocated to Indianapolis, and was hired as the Minister of Music for Mt. Gerizam Baptist Church. At the same time, Dr. Jefferson, became the keyboardist for "Congajazz", a Jazz Ensemble.

Dr. Jefferson has played for a host of different events and locales. Those events and locales include, but are not limited to: the Police and Fire Olympic Games, The Governor's Gala, Zoobilation, The Indianapolis Public School Board, the Ritz-Carlton, the Latin Jazz Festival in Chicago, and a host of the cleanest and most popular jazz clubs in Indiana, Alabama, and New Jersey.

V & G Jazz Ensemble was the vision of Dr. Jefferson and her daughter, Ginger Jefferson. With many original pieces written, by Dr Jefferson and Ginger, V & G looks to take the world by suprise with new sounds and unforgettable renditions of some of the World's best known hits.
